Google are back with their latest addition to the Pixel series of phones with the Pixel 8 and the Pixel 8 Pro.
The latter, featured here, has their 6.7" screen that promises to be their brightest yet. The camera system has a range of AI capabilities powered by their G3 chip. Gone is the single camera system from the Pixels of the past, replaced with a 50 megapixel main camera and two 48 megapixel cameras that cover the wide and zoom lenses.
There's even a wildcard feature this year, a built in temperature sensor on the back of the phone.

Our thoughts
Google's promise of security updates for the next 7 years makes a welcome change to the Android landscape. Phones often fall out of support quickly, but this bestters even Apple who dropped support for the iPhone X and iPhone 8 Plus with iOS 17 after 6 years. I hold Google stock to this promise.
While I am personally not the biggest fan of the overall look and OS, it's the purest version of Android which at least ensures it will be as fast and responsive as a phone should be.
