Playdate might look familiar, but it's unlike anything you've ever seen. Encased in a bold yellow case (designed by teenage engineering), it features a black and white screen. Even though it looks a little retro, it features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a surprisingly loud loudspeaker. And when you're not using it, the screen doesn't turn off and becomes a low-power clock.
It's tactile thanks to clicky buttons and yes, there's a
crank. It's an analog controller that flips out from the side, allowing you to precisely dial in the action. Some games use it, others don't but it's just another piece of fun!
